libmecab-java software package provides mecab binding for Java - java classes, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libmecab-java
libmecab-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libmecab-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libmecab-java *
You will get with libmecab-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
